There are dozens of smiley sites around the web offering a wide-variety of icons. We're not trying to re-invent the wheel.  This site was developed to feature emoticons in specific categories--oftentimes themes you don't find a lot of smileys for.  If you're looking for a standard sad icon, you may not find one here. However, if you're looking for medieval emoticons or cooking smilies, you've come to the right place. Our site does contain smilies you may have seen elsewhere on the web--however we also feature hundreds of original smilies developed by the Special Smilies team.
